mapIt is very easy to get to Soller, about 30 minutes from the airport. Nearly all budget airlines fly to Palma from UK airports. The infrastructure is good, with bus and trains should you not wish to hire a car.

The Soller Valley is an area of outstanding beauty, having been protected and conserved over the years. It offers everything your could want. high mountains, terraced with olive groves offering great walks and views to a fertile valley of oranges and lemon groves. The Puerto De Soller is 3km from the town and offers a pretty port, with an old fisherman's quarter and beach. A beautiful old tram connects the town to the port, an enjoyable journey.

The Town of Soller has a rich architectural heritage due to its importance at the turn of the century and a wander through the narrow streets will reveal many modernist /art noveau houses, others date back to the 18th century. The Plaza is lively with its restaurants and bars, retaining a French feel due to its history. The botanical gardens are worth a visit.

The beautiful city of Palma is only half an hour drive or bus ride away, or you could take a more scenic route on the historic train, running since 1912.

Deia, once home to Robert Graves, offers a spectacular coastline and some interesting architecture.

Founalutx and Binmiarix are pretty villages close by.
